do on Xerox printers.
With its sophisticated tailoring capability, PRO

is the way it manages print resources. As a default PRO
META to PCL automatically converts Xerox
resources into PCL resources, thus optimizing and simplifying
the implementation process.
Xerox fonts can either be automatically converted to PCL bitmap
fonts or mapped to printer-resident PCL fonts. Xerox forms are
automatically converted to PCL macros and IMG images are converted
to PCL compressed images, which are embedded in the output PCL
file. Converted fonts, logos and images can be kept and reused,
thus speeding up the transform process.
