LPD software print server for Windows platforms
RPM Remote Print Manager® is our software print server product for Windows platforms.
WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH A SOFTWARE PRINT SERVER?
We can start to bring RPM's capabilities into focus by comparing with hardware print servers. No one is trying to say that a hardware print server isn't a great product; all the printers we have in our own office include a built-in print server.
The important thing is always "what do you need it to do?" Every feature and "benefit" should be weighed against this.

RPM Remote Print Manager® is Print Server software that installs on a Windows PC. RPM receives print jobs via TCP/IP from any host system and will print those documents to any printer or device available to the Windows computer. RPM can receive print jobs from a wide variety of print clients including IBM mainframes, AS/400 systems, UNIX and Linux servers, and PC and Macintosh print clients.
DRIVER INDEPENDENT PRINTING
RPM prints directly to any Windows-based printer. No need to purchase expensive printers or additional hardware for your printer.
RPM takes cross-platform printing to new levels receiving and processing documents from host systems. Saving on Windows-based resources will lower your printing costs and make your printing processes more efficient. In short, RPM will streamline and improve your document workflows
MODIFY MAINFRAME DOCUMENTS BEFORE PRINTING
RPM supports text printing features including fonts, margins, line wrap and others. It can pass print data directly to a printer without modification, open it in another Windows application, or save the file to disk in plain text, PDF, or HTML format.
PDF, PCL AND HTML OUTPUT
RPM can convert your documents to PDF, HTML, and PCL. Save the converted output to any network storage device, a folder shared from another Windows system, or your own computer. RPM converts print documents into PDF version 1.4 and simple HTML for easy viewing, archiving, and distribution and to eliminate paper costs.
RPM's features include the ability to automatically modify the data according to your needs prior to output by removing PCL codes, translating EBCDIC or SCS data from IBM mainframes and iSeries computers to its ASCII equivalent, and much more.
RPM WILL PRINT, EMAIL, ARCHIVE TO DISK, AND MORE...
Now that the document (print job) has been modified to your needs, RPM will email the file (supports multiple recipients), print to file, print to a local or network printer and more.
SUPPORTS MULTIPLE DEVICES
With RPM Select, you can print to as many as 10 devices. RPM Elite supports 99 devices, and you can upgrade to an unlimited number of devices. Whether you are redirecting documents to a printer or folder, RPM provides centralized document management.
ADDITIONAL OUTPUT METHODS
In addition to printing, RPM can also save your documents to a folder, run a program passing the file as an argument, email documents, and move jobs into another queue for additional processing.
PRINT TO FILE
Format and save incoming print documents in a variety of widely-used file formats. The ability to archive your print documents can reduce or eliminate expensive printing costs such as paper, toner or ink, etc.
